For many decades, this space was home to one of the city’s most respected barbers, Paul, a master craftsman whose experience, reputation, and relationships shaped generations of Hobart locals. The shop was simply known as “The Barber Shop” — a place people trusted, returned to, and spoke about.

Our team’s story begins with Kim, who grew up in her mother’s backyard barbershop.
Her childhood summers were spent in the countryside, surrounded by the lively chatter of uncles and aunties in a bustling barbershop — simple wooden stools, concrete floors, the scent of hair dye, summer breezes, and melted ice cream on the floor.
What you see today is not just the dream of a young person brought to life, but a way of living: a passion for the craft, a respect for professionalism, and a genuine love for building relationships and sharing memories with every person who walks into the barbershop.
Though this place is a very cool/classic barber and definitely delivers a luxurious experience for men - it most certainly is a space for women too. I recently had my hair cut from here and I've been getting a lot of compliments. You might also get a sweet little treat that the lovely owner provides!

This is hands down the best barber shop I've ever visited. I’m from Sydney and popped down randomly and was met with the owner Kim who was kind, personable and professional. Super cool shop with amazing fit out. My girlfriend also got a wash & cut who said it was the best haircut of her life.
